The opportunity is open to substantive GPs (e.g., those in salaried or partner roles) in mid and south Essex, working at least two clinical sessions per week. Reimbursement is available for 1 funded portfolio session per week for a 12-month period, paid via employment practices.
Training will take place within the allergy service at Broomfield Hospital, working alongside Dr Steve Jenkins and other key colleagues. This training experience will include hands on exposure to a variety of aspects in allergy medicine.
Experience will include hands on exposure in a variety of aspects of allergy medicine including: skin prick testing, allergen immunotherapy, biologic therapy, and drug and food challenge testing. The post will enable the successful candidate to follow the BSACI pathway to empower them to gain relevant experience and build a portfolio to become a GPwER.
