Southend Medical Centre has an exciting new opportunity, we are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Junior Nurse to start as soon as possible, on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave to:
- work under the guidance and support of our Registered Practice Nurse, facilitate clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice.
- maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all Practice protocols, policies and guidelines, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team. It is essential that the nurse works within their own level of competency and own scope of practice.
Fixed term contract until June 2025: We would be happy to discuss employment possibilities at the end of the fixed term contract.
Shift pattern: Monday, Thursday and Friday. Preferred hours 0900-1330 and 1430-1730 7.5 hours x 3 = 22.5hours. Hours negotiable for right candidate
The vacancy would suit a newly qualified junior nurse at the beginning of their nursing career who wants to establish their role in general practice, or alternately an experienced practice nurse that would like to reduce pressure and workload for a more work life, home life balance by stepping back into a lighter role.
