About the Role
Vida Healthcare are looking to welcome an experienced, qualified Nurse to provide a first class Treatment Room service.

Our patients demand the highest standards of care and if you are conscientious with a strong team-working ethic, then one or both of these could be the ideal role for you.

The role is offered on a Full Time / Part Time or job share basis and will require travel across the Vida practices.

You will be responsible for providing a high quality nursing service to patients, across our practices. You can expect to be mentored and supported by senior nurses, whilst you are empowered to deliver care within the boundaries of your role.  Your focus would be to support patients to be healthy and to monitor long-term conditions.  We conduct a wide range of health prevention and screening activities and you will be essential to this service.

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of basic treatment room/ practice nursing services care to the population. Supported by senior nurses within the practice by senior nurses within the practice, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.

About the Candidate
If you are an experienced Nurse looking for an exciting new change in career then we would love to hear from you.
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • A relevant nursing degree and at least 2 years post qualification experience in a General Practice setting;
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN;
  • Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications;
  • Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation,  screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care and recording spirometry;
  • Compassionate, empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work as well as valuing the dignity of our patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and application of supporting long-term conditions.
  • Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and NHS.
